ERASMUS+ MOBILITY announcement

Dear Students,

2016-2017 Academic Year Erasmus Exchange and Placement budget has been announced by the Turkish National Agency. Grant allocation criteria for 2016-2017 Academic Year has been determined by Istanbul Bilgi University’s Erasmus Commission on August 12th , 2016 and is explained here below. 

Grant will be allocated to students who will participate to the Erasmus Exchange Program in the 2016-2017 Academic Year according to the “Partial Mobility Grant”  option which is limited to 3,5 months even if the mobility duration of the student is longer than 3,5 months.

Grant will be allocated to students who will participate to the Erasmus Placement Program in the 2016-2017 Academic Year according to the “Partial Mobility Grant”  option which is limited to 3 months even if the placement duration of the student is longer than 3 months.

Grant will be allocated ONLY for one (1) semester to the students who will participate the program for full year.

The National Agency only announced the grant budget. After the agreement is signed between our university and the National Agency, grants will be transferred to universities within 45 days. As soon as we receive the grant from the National Agency, we will transfer the grants to our student. We will inform our students again for the first payments.

Firstly 70% of 3,5 months grants will be paid. At the end of your mobility, rest of your grant will be paid if you complete your documents and achieve the required academic success.

For the students who do not receive grant for their second semester, we will apply for additional grant (in November-December) in scope of interim report period. Though it is not guaranteed, due to the additional grant and cancellation, students who do not receive grant for their second terms at the first stage could be granted later.

Students who would like to cancel their mobilities after the announcement of grant allocation results should fill in and sign the cancellation letter and submit to our office no later than August  19th, 2016 at 17:00. 

Students who participate the program for full year and would like to shorten their mobility’s and cancel their spring semester should fill out and sign the cancellation letter and submit to our office no later than August  19th, 2016 at 17.00

Taking online language exam (OLS) is compulsory for all students who will participate the program. After the National Agency allocates the exams to universities, we will make announcement and send the links for the exams to your bilgiedu.net extension mail addresses. The exams should be completed before the deadline therefore please check your mails and follow our announcements. (The exam will first be sent to fall and full year students. We will inform the students who will attend the program for spring semester in the orientation we will organize.

In order to receive the grant you need to open a EURO bank account at Garanti Bank and send the below information to erasmus@bilgi.edu.tr no later than August  31th, 2016.
