Our student Nathalie Barki, who attended WOBI on Leadership to represent BİLGİ, commented as follows:
“WOBI on leadership event included about one thousand people from all over the world that consisted of innovators, leaders and creators that are connected to the business world. Many of the speakers such as Travis Bradberry and John Mattone were advisors to Fortune Magazine’s top 500 companies. Each speaker talked about their unique perspectives on how to motivate employees, how to lead happier lives, the neurological aspects of our psychology in terms of motivation, reward, and organizational underpinnings of new working environments. The event was a great experience for me in terms of observing how each speaker delivered their original and personal experiences and put these experiences into practice and became leaders. The journey starting from İstanbul to Mexico with lots of connections on my way was nearly a metaphorical one. I met with many people from many different cultures, was in an intense working schedule, had few hours to sleep and a new city to see. To experience all of these at the same time and succeeding seemed like one step closer to professional life.
In short, it was unique in a way that I was able to see myself in the future: How I can transform my life experiences by being fully open to others so that they can see what can be done in life, how can one be successful because even the most genius person in this world started from zero. This was what I learned from the whole event.”
