Become a Buddy for incoming international students!

This semester, we will be welcoming students coming to BİLGİ through Exchange Programs.

Incoming exchange students need experienced peers to guide them through their adaptation process to becoming a part of BİLGİ.

Through the Buddy Program, you can:

• Communicate with international students,
• Learn about different cultures,
• Improve your foreign language skills.

By gaining this experience, you can better understand the needs of students studying abroad and make friends from all around the world. Each "Buddy" will be matched with 2-5 students, depending on participation.

The program is for the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, and certificates will be sent to Buddies at the end of the academic year. Due to a high number of applications, the number of Buddies to be selected will be determined based on need, and only those who are selected will be contacted.

As a Buddy, you can assist new students in the following areas:

• Helping them with general procedures both on and off campus. (For example, supporting them with course selection, providing information about life at BİLGİ and campus facilities.)
• Assisting students in connecting with the right departments. (For instance, SIS - Student Affairs.)
