Assoc. Prof. Serhan Ada has been appointed as the chairperson of the Scientific Council of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Venice

BİLGİ Arts and Cultural Management Department faculty member and UNESCO Chair on Cultural Policy and Cultural Diplomacy Assoc. Prof. Serhan Ada has been appointed as the chairperson of the Scientific Council of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Venice, where he was selected as a member in 2023.

One of the governance mechanisms of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture along with the Steering Committee, Scientific Council’s main task is to evaluate the action proposals for the implementation by the Regional Bureau.

UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture aims to contribute to the advancement of the overall UNESCO programme by fostering development, dialogue, reconciliation, and cooperation in South-East Europe and the Mediterranean area through specialized as well as interdisciplinary projects and research in the field of culture and natural sciences.
