BİLGİ Department of Industrial Design third-year student Devrim Deniz Emecan became one of the 8 people who made it to the finals by passing the pre-selection phase of Ezber Bozan Furniture Competition with her design titled ‘Unity.’
Focusing on the theme ‘Smart Furniture’ this year, the competition was organized for the design of smart furniture that offers solutions for the problems and needs of users, facilitates life and work in in compliance with the goal of users, and meet at least one of the ‘Sitting, Resting, Working, and Storing’ functions by making optimal use of the existing space, is sustainable and have export potential.
In her project titled ‘Unity’, Devrim Deniz Emecan designed a modular furniture that can adapt to spaces that have different shapes and dimensions emerging due to unplanned urbanization. Consisting of pieces that can come together in different combinations, the design allows users to personalize the furniture in line with the measurements of their houses.
