Prof. Hale Bolak Boratav received Prof. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı Lifelong Achievement Award

Head of Department of Psychology at BİLGİ Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Prof. Hale Bolak Boratav received Prof. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı Lifelong Achievement Award as part of IV. Social Psychology Congress.

Prof. Hale Bolak Boratav received the award for her great efforts and significant contributions to the development and strengthening of the field of national psychology and her academic life guided by principles and devotion.

Prof. Hale Bolak Boratav was presented with the award in the ceremony held as part of IV. Social Psychology Congress that took place on June 11-12, 2022 hosted by Dokuz Eylül University’s Department of Psychology.

The founder of social psychology in Türkiye, Prof. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı was honored with Lifelong Achievement Award in the first Social Psychology Congress organized in 2016. This award, which was given in memory of Prof. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı after her passing away in 2017, is granted annually to the scholars who make significant contributions to the discipline of social psychology with their academic works. BİLGİ Department of Psychology faculty member Emeritus Prof. Diane Sunar was the first person who was granted the award.
