The project application of the project consortium titled ‘Smart Home Platform’ including Faculty Member, PhD, Tuğba Dalyan from the Department of Computer Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Yiğit Dağhan Gökdel from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences to TÜBİTAK Industrial Innovation Network Mechanism (SAYEM)
Program Call for 2nd Phase has been accepted and the consortium has been entitled to receive support from TÜBİTAK for a duration of 43 months. In this project, İstanbul Bilgi University will be supported with a budget of 1.299,658 TL.
Led by Arçelik, the project consortium includes İstanbul Bilgi University, Karel, Arçelik LG, Eczacıbaşı, Makel, Argedor, Biyomod, Middle East Technical University, NUVIA, Sabancı University, GST Electronics, Boğaziçi University, and Bilkent University UNAM.
Within the scope of the project, the aim is to create a new ‘Smart Home Platform’ that is dominant in Turkey and has a high export capacity. In Smart Home Platform, the companies designing and producing high technology products and product groups aim to form a smart living ecosystem in Turkey together with the universities that enable the development of the sector by conducting academic studies in this field. It is planned that a ‘Smart Home Platform’ will be formed and expanded that will allow interoperability between many innovative products, product groups, and services that will meet the needs of end users in their main focus areas and can be adapted to their gradually changing needs and all the products. With the Smart Home Platform, high technology products and product groups will be developed in areas of focus.
