BİLGİ is among the most entrepreneurial universities in 2020 Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index

BİLGİ is ranked 29 among 185 universities across Turkey in 2020 Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, compiled under the leadership of TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). Making significant progress in Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index in years, this year, BİLGİ became the 6th most entrepreneurial and innovative university among foundation universities. 

282 organizations including Ministry of Industry and Technology, Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Presidency of Defence Industries, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB), Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV), Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), Center for European Union Education and Youth Programmes as well as universities contributed to the index which was finalized after 9-month work and compilation of 1-million-cell dataset under TÜBİTAK’s leadership. 

Universities are ranked according to 22 indicators in four dimensions, namely ‘scientific and technological research competence’, ‘pool of intellectual property’, ‘cooperation and interaction’ and ‘economic contribution and commercialization.’
