BİLGİ-BONN History Graduate Conference

About 

‘History Graduate Conference’ is organized by graduate students from İstanbul Bilgi University Department of History and the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies with supported by Tarih Vakfı.

The conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for graduate students primarily studying History and academics from different disciplines to present their research.

Application Deadline: March 15, 2024.

Submission & Application Requirements 

We welcome submissions from graduate students at any point in their studies. Recent graduates are also welcome to submit their research. 

Applicants should submit a single PDF document titled "Lastname_Title" containing a 350-word proposal and Curriculum Vitae to historygraduateconference2024@bilgi.edu.tr. Proposals must be received by March 15, 2024.

Deadline for abstract submission: March 15, 2024

Announcement of accepted abstracts: April 15, 2024

* Depending on the number of applicants, we intend to have 3 presentations for each panel, and each panelist will have 15 minutes to present their research. After each panel, there will be a 15-minute Q&A session. 

* The conference program includes panels in Turkish and English. There will be no simultaneous translation during the conference.
