Research Track
The research track has been developed for faculty members who want to focus on research by reducing their course load. Within the framework of this practice prioritizing PhD faculty members, it is aimed to increase the number and quality of publications.
Faculty members who are accepted to the research track with a 3-year publication planning, are excluded from the general performance evaluation system determined by the Directive on Performance, Academic Appointment and Promotion Criteria.
With the exception of the 6-hour (2 courses in average) course load, the faculty members who focus solely on research carry on in the research track as per the commission decision and report regularly to the commission with a monitoring jury. Performance evaluation is not applied to them within this period and depending on the publication success, they can work more flexibly with the decision of the commission.
