LEAP project receives funding under Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnerships

The project titled LEAP: Leadership Empowerment for Women Athletes' Progress, co-led by Assoc. Prof. İlknur Hacısoftaoğlu, from our Department of Sports Management, has been awarded funding under the Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnerships call.

Bringing together 8 international partners from Türkiye, Italy, Portugal, and Belgium, the LEAP project is a collaborative partnership designed to support female athletes in transitioning from active sports careers into sports management, leadership and decision-making roles. 

With the participation of Prof. Erkan Saka from our Department of Media, and Res. Assist. Gülbeyaz Sert and Res. Assist. Merve Üsküplü from our Department of Sports Management as researchers; our university serves as the academic lead in developing the certified leadership curriculum for the project.
