Online Short Term English Programs 2021
Attending online short term English programs at the universities that Istanbul Bilgi University has partnership with abroad, you can improve your English skills and spend your time more efficiently during these days when we are all supposed to be home due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Online English programs consist of Business English, Conversation & Culture, Academic English, General English, Focus on Writing, English for Health Care, English for Business Communication ve English for Leadership and Innovation programs. These theme-based programs are a couple of weeks long.
Application requirements may change depending on the university and the program. There are two types of online English programs – free and paid. You can reach free programs clicking on the websites shared below the university names. We would like to remind you that not every partner of ours offer free programs.
Paid programs will be offered via each partner institution’s own online infrastructure. Scholarships that you hold are not valid for these programs. Tuition fees will be reflected to our students with special discount rates. These rates depend on the agreement between Istanbul Bilgi University and the partner institution.

University of Liverpool – English for Business
In my first year, I was exempted from English Preparatory School passing BILET 2 exam and started my major. I knew study abroad opportunities Bilgi offers. In summer period, I attended English for Business course at University of Liverpool. My English level was good enough and I started my language program in an advanced level class. The program was speaking-based. We don’t have so many opportunities to practise our speaking skills in Turkey. That’s why it was very helpful. We were very close and friendly with our teachers. Alongside with this language program, living in Liverpool was also important because people speak English in this city for 24 hours a day and you have to communicate with them in English. I met many people from different cultures. Liverpool is an important football city. I saw Liverpool FC and Everton’s stadiums. Also, Liverpool is the hometown of the Beatles. I had a chance to see Penny Lane and Strawberry Field mentioned in Beatles’ songs. I went to Wales twice. I saw old castles and visited Snowdonia National Park. After all, it was an amazing experience. I’d like to thank Istanbul Bilgi University for offering this opportunity to me.
