SCHOLARSHIPS

Ranking Scholarship (100% Full Scholarship)

It is determined based on the weighted total score ranking in thesis-based master's programs and doctoral programs.

The success ranking is determined by the Academic Council's relevant decision, taking into account the prospective students' ALES scores, GPAs, and (if any) science exam results and interview scores.

The ranking scholarship is only valid for Turkish citizens.

It is awarded to students up to 15% of the number of students enrolled in the program. International students are not included in the calculation of the number of prospective students to whom the scholarship will be awarded (15%).

BİLGİ Scholarship (100% Full Scholarship)

The BİLGİ Scholarship can be awarded to candidates who meet at least one of the following criteria in all master's programs with thesis, without thesis, and distance education, as well as doctoral programs.

Even if the candidate to whom the BİLGİ Scholarship will be awarded is not listed in the application or admission requirements of the relevant program, they must have an ALES or equivalent score.

BİLGİ Scholarship application criteria:

  • ALES ≥ 80 (in the program's score type; last 5 years) (GRE/GMAT equivalent is accepted).
  • For Master's programs, Bachelor's GPA ≥ 3.50/4.00; for Doctoral programs, Thesis-based Master's GPA ≥ 3.75/4.00
  • Graduation from a university ranked in the top 30 in Turkey by URAP or in the top 500 by QS/THE/ARWU
  • Article published in TR Index or WoS/Scopus Q1–Q4
  • Registered patent/utility model or personal exhibition/biennial/major festival selection by a selective jury or creative work/product appropriate to the field
  • A prestigious award or scholarship granted based on selective and qualified evaluations appropriate to the field (including prestigious festival/biennial selection awards in creative fields)

The BİLGİ Scholarship is defined by the Institute Directorate and the Rectorate, based on candidates who meet the criteria proposed by the program director.

If the number of candidates meeting the criteria exceeds the quota, the BİLGİ Scholarship is recommended for the candidate who meets the most criteria. If the number of criteria is equal, the points calculated for the ranking scholarship are taken into account.

Academic Scholarship

The academic scholarship is defined based on the candidate's academic background and potential, as evaluated by the program director, for all master's programs (thesis, non-thesis, and distance learning) and doctoral programs.

The academic scholarship cannot exceed 70% per candidate; if the candidate receives a scholarship along with a discount, the total of the academic scholarship and discount cannot exceed 70%.
