The aim of the Trauma and Disaster Mental Health Master's Program is to create an important human resource for national and international competency development studies in the fields of mental trauma and disaster. The main aim of the program is to train practitioners who can organize training and research programs in the fields of mental trauma and disaster mental health in the country and in the regions of the world affected by disasters and social traumas, support national and international competency development programs, participate in these programs, and produce information and applicable policies related to the field.

It is aimed that the students who receive education in the program will have the knowledge and skill to practice, train, and make research in the field of trauma and disaster mental health, and to be effective in both psychosocial support studies and academic studies at national and international level.

The duration of the Trauma and Disaster Mental Health Master's Program with Thesis is at least 4 semesters and maximum 6 semesters. In the program, which is proposed as four semesters, the first 3 semesters will continue with theoretical and practical trainings, and the last semester will continue with thesis preparation, thesis writing, and practical trainings.

In order to complete the master's program with thesis, it is necessary to successfully complete 120 ECTS credits of courses and write a master's thesis with a thesis advisor. The program consists of a total of 11 courses, a seminar and courses. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish. The program is also open to international students who speak Turkish.
