Leadership Activities
May 18, 2019
Organizational Psychology graduate students from Psychology of leadership and leader development course (OPSY 506) offered an open to public leadership training workshop. The content of each training, including a presentation and an activity (group or individual), was designed and implemented by the students. Topics included (1) identifying and managing one’s leadership energies, (2) leadership behavior as a tool to reduce followers’ uncertainty and stress, (3) benefits of emergent and team leadership in organizations and (4) the role of mindfulness to regulate one’s thoughts and behavior as a leader. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for our students to gain experience in leadership training design and delivery based on well-researched constructs and leadership theory.
Thank you to the students for this superb work and our trainees for their participation!
