MA in Organizational Psychology

Welcome to the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Master Program at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Since 2010, the Psychology Department instituted an Organizational Psychology MA program with the goal of training experts in an area which is gaining increasingly more recognition in Turkey.

The Industrial and Organizational Psychology Master Program has two different pathways: with Thesis or with Project and both provide options to get specialized on organizational and industrial psychology.

Academic courses are structured on major competence domains that an organizational and industrial psychologist should have. Common competence domains for both pathways are as follows: Consulting skills; quantitative research methods and statistics, including the use of SPSS statistics program; qualitative research methods including the use of MAXQDA qualitative data analysis program. Industrial psychology has specific competence domains related to major human resources management functions. As the specific competence domains of Organizational psychology is more on the cognitive and emotional background of human behaviour at work. Students from both pathways have to conduct academic research on their interest area and write a thesis starting by their third term in the program to get their graduate degree.
