About

The Department of Arts and Cultural Management combines creativity with managerial knowledge and skills and trains professionals and cultural entrepreneurs who will shape the arts and culture sector.

As the technology of the cultural sector changes every day, there is a growing need for multidisciplinary arts and cultural managers with the ability to use their knowledge of different sectors and practice it with an innovative approach. In a globalized world, these professionals are expected to make decisions by preserving and improving the creativity of the actors in the fields of arts and culture and contributing to the sustainability and participation of the art and culture institutions.

For those who are considering a career in the cultural industries, becoming manager of an art gallery, cultural center, music or design company, producing events, festivals, shows or theatrical plays, taking responsibility for the artistic design of these activities as an art director, staging them and acting on the stage require not only artistic knowledge but also administrative vision and communication skills.

Students may transform the skills and knowledge they receive during their education into a career with international cultural organizations (UNESCO, the European Union, the European Council), public and private cultural organizations, NGOs and production companies that perform events such as festivals, concerts, and competitions.

The Department of Arts and Cultural Management offers two programs that share this approach: the BA Program in Arts and Culture Management and the BA Program in Management of the Performing Arts.
